The 2nd Basque Hydrogen Research Day, organised by the Energy Cluster, to be held on 21 February at the BEC.
The second edition of the Basque Hydrogen Research Day, organised by the Energy Cluster, will be held on Friday 21 February at 09:00 at the BEC (5th floor, Room 1A). The aim of the event is to provide a meeting point for R&D representatives from the business community and the main Basque research consortia in the field of hydrogen.
After the opening by Jaione Ganzarain, Vice-Minister of Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation of the Basque Government, the event will begin with an overview of hydrogen research activity by Olivier Boucat, Group R&D Program Director H2 Energy, Global Markets & Technologies, Healthcare at Air Liquide. Following this, a representative from the Repsol Technology Lab will present their vision of the transformation of the energy sector through technological innovation, and Alba Emission Free Energy, a subsidiary of Petronor, will update those present on the situation of the synthetic fuel demonstration plant project in the Port of Bilbao.
After a break for coffee and networking, participants will then be divided into four transfer workshops in which the main results to date of four collaborative research projects in the Elkartek programme will be presented and compared:
- H2BASQUE, focused on the development of innovative technologies such as AEM electrolysis, PEM electrolysis and thermochemical cycles to produce green hydrogen.
- H2MAT+, focused on the design, production and evaluation of advanced metal alloys and structures in hydrogen service conditions.
- HIDRURA, focused on the development of innovative technologies such as seawater electrolysis, decoupled electrolysis and biogas pyrolysis.
- ONTZHi, to explore technologies and solutions that enhance the safety, compactness, cost-effectiveness and sustainability of hydrogen storage and transportation.
Attendance is free of charge. Those wishing to attend should register here.
