Ampo celebrates 60 years at the top of its sector manufacturing valves of high technological value.
Ampo, based in Idiazabal, Gipuzkoa, is celebrating its 60th anniversary as a world leader in the design and manufacture of valves of high technological value that ensure leak tightness in pipe lines for fluid handling. The company designs and manufactures valves for the most severe conditions (extremely high or low temperatures, corrosive environments, high pressures, etc.) for the energy and mining sectors.
Ampo is currently in the process of adapting to the energy transition, maintaining its leading position in sectors of high technological value with unique ad-hoc solutions to provide solutions to the most complicated challenges. To move towards a more decarbonised economic model, in line with the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the company is moving towards hydrogen, carbon capture, synthetic fuels, biofuels and other applications.
Recently, given the existence of a very interesting hydrogen hub in the region, Ampo has opened an office in Switzerland to be closer to its customers and knowledge base.
