The BH2C and Ibermática present the opportunities provided by the synergy of hydrogen with quantum computing.
On 25 November, the Basque Hydrogen Corridor (BH2C) and Ibermática Fundazioa co-organised an event on Quantum Computing and Hydrogen at the Energy Intelligence Center (EIC).
The workshop featured experts from different fields of expertise who shared and discussed the challenges, solutions and strategies in connection with two promising vectors of future growth for the Basque Country. Discussion centred on how quantum computing is speeding up the discovery of new forms of energy storage and generation, and how green hydrogen is emerging as a key solution for decarbonisation, based on the experience of AMPO, H2Integra, Sener and H2SITE.
The session also included a round table discussion, with the participation of the Basque Government, the Provincial Council of Araba, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, on the potential of new computing in the energy transition and in the battle against climate change. The BH2C closed the event by outlining its Collaborative Innovation Strategy in Hydrogen Valleys, open to collaboration and sharing future experiences around quantum computing and green hydrogen.
