A delegation from the Regional Government of Asturias and the Asturias Energy Foundation visits the H2SAREA facilities.

Nortegas has recently received a visit from a delegation of the Directorate General for Energy and Mining of the Regional Government of Asturias, headed by its Director General, María Belarmina Díaz Aguado.

The delegation also included members of the Asturias Energy Foundation, FAEN, led by its director, Carlos García Sánchez. The visit included a presentation of the work being done by Nortegas to meet the challenges facing the energy sector.

Accompanied by Juan Villar, Deputy CEO, Izaskun Gorostiaga, General Director of Strategy and Sustainability, and the rest of the Nortegas team, the visiting delegation learnt about the experience of Naturgas in hydrogen blending in natural gas networks and in 100% hydrogen networks that the company has been developing with projects such as H2SAREA.

H2SAREA, led by Nortegas and with the participation as consortium partners of ABC Compressors, Erreka, Fidegas, H2SITE, Orkli, Tecnalia, CNH2 and Ikerlan, is a project to develop advanced technological solutions for the safe distribution of hydrogen in the natural gas distribution network.
