Fagor Ederlan joins the BH2C as a new member organisation, and Mikel Amundarain, General Manager of EVE, appointed as the new Vice-President.

The quarterly meeting of the BH2C Board of Directors, held at the EIC on Wednesday, 23 October, saw a new member, Fagor Ederlan, join the Association, bringing the total number of BH2C members to 72, and the number of projects to 54. In addition, the new General Manager of EVE, Mikel Amundarain, was appointed as the new Vice-President of the Association.

It was also reported that the BH2C has received a major boost and unequivocal support for its work after being selected by the Clean Hydrogen Mission (CHM) as one (out of a total of one hundred) of the eight best examples of hydrogen valleys in the world, and the only one in Spain.

The objective of the BH2C is also to accelerate the creation of Spanish and European Hydrogen Valleys and Corridors, and to speed up the collaboration and creation of the infrastructure required to do so, such as the Atlantic interconnection of the 'HiWest' corridor.

Among the projects underway, the Use in Mobility Vertical is moving forward with the construction of the hydrogen plant at the Abanto Technology Park, a synthetic fuels plant is also under construction and other industrial projects are progressing, such as the prototype of a hydrogen furnace at Sarralle. The hydrogen refuelling station and the truck refuelling station will be operational by the end of 2025, as the objective is to start up another hydrogen refuelling station at Bilbao airport by 2026.
