Nortegas and Enagás share their views on the development of hydrogen infrastructure at the IX Energy Forum, organised by elEconomista.es.

Javier Contreras, CEO of Nortegas, and Arturo Gonzalo Aizpiri, CEO of Enagás, took part on 5 September in the IX Energy Forum - New challenges for Europe, organised by elEconomista.es, where the main players in the Spanish energy sector debated the new challenges facing the European energy sector.

In the third round of speeches, entitled ‘Infrastructure and development of renewable gases: biomethane and hydrogen’, Javier Contreras (Nortegas) spoke of the importance of renewable gases for his company, highlighting the fact that the company has more than 40 business projects in its portfolio, 16 of which are at an advanced stage of development. In his presentation, he also highlighted the forecasts for 2030, which point to around 70 plants on stream to produce close to 3 TWh.

Arturo Gonzalo Aizpiri (Enagás) summarised the company's key achievements and highlighted the keen interest of the organisation in these materials. He also made reference to the non-binding hydrogen infrastructure planning proposal that Enagás has submitted to the Ministry. Finally, he detailed that all further updates on the matter will be presented on 29 January at the III Enagás Hydrogen Day.
