Petronor consolidates its collaboration with Dutch and German companies in the field of renewable hydrogen.

Jose Ignacio Zudaire, Deputy CEO at Petronor, yesterday co-signed an agreement with the Port of Amsterdam, the Dutch gas operator Gaslog, and the German energy company EnBW, to analyse the development of a renewable hydrogen market in Europe that will boost the decarbonisation of industry and mobility.

Petronor already produces the first green hydrogen in the Basque Country and is committed to net zero emissions by 2050. Furthermore, before the summer, construction will begin on a demonstration plant for the production of renewable fuels, specifically synthetic fuels, using CO2 and green hydrogen as feedstock.

In addition, Petronor is leading the decarbonisation hub in the Port of Bilbao with an investment of over 200 million euros, consisting of the synthetic fuels plant and a pyrolysis plant to produce marine biofuel and circular economy plastics.
