The Turkish Ambassador to Spain visits Petronor.

The Turkish Ambassador to Spain in Madrid, Ms. Nüket Küçükel Ezberci, has visited Muskiz to learn first-hand about Petronor's activity and its new projects to develop technology to decarbonise industry.

As part of the visit, Emiliano López Atxurra, President of Petronor, and Manu Núñez, Director of Petronor Innovation, explained the investments being made to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. In the course of this explanation, particular attention was paid to the 2.5MW electrolyser, the first to generate green hydrogen in the Basque Country, which will be used both to decarbonise fuel production at the refinery itself and to supply hydrogen to the Abanto Zierbana Technology Park through the pipeline linking the two facilities.

The ambassador was accompanied by Nur Alkış, Senior Counsellor at the Turkish Embassy in Madrid; Yasemen Korukçu, Senior Advisor of Invest in Türkiye; and Francisco Peleteiro, Honorary Consul General of Turkey in Galicia.
