The BH2C, presented as a strategic initiative in a conference organised by Asetrabi on new fuels and their application in road haulage.

Asetrabi, the Bizkaia Business Association of Transport, which brings together all the leading players in road haulage in Bizkaia, has recently organised a conference at which Petronor took part to analyse new fuels and their application in this type of transport.

During the conference, Miguel Palacio, Director of Development at Petronor Innovación, highlighted Petronor's commitment to decarbonised fuels at a round table on new energy carriers for transport mobility. In his presentation, Mr Palacio stressed that "decarbonised products will progressively be launched onto the market as a result of the projects we are already working on, and will transform our activity. We need a strategic and regulatory framework to be developed with technological neutrality, as well as sufficient aid to confront the technological and industrial development required in the coming years".

To address the challenges that lie ahaed, Petronor is targeting energy carriers such as hydrogen, biofuels and synthetic fuels as alternatives to traditional fuels, all with the aim of reducing emissions in transport. Petronor will carry out its own industrial transformation to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
