The meeting of the Use in Mobility Vertical of the BH2C highlights the versatility of hydrogen as a fuel for mobility, both on the road and in port areas.
The 5th meeting of the Use in Mobility Vertical of the BH2C was held on Tuesday 25 March at the EIC - Energy Intelligence Center. The meeting of the Vertical, led by EVE and Repsol, brought together 34 people from 28 member organisations.
In the meeting, Miguel Palacio, from Repsol, reported on the latest developments of the projects and initiatives being taken forward in the Vertical, as well as the most relevant regulatory aspects for the hydrogen mobility sector in recent months. José Manuel Gregorio, from Ajusa, then updated those present on the latest developments of the company in fuel cell applications for heavy transport, such as hybrid lorries and maritime applications, and detailed the applications developed within the framework of the CRIPICOM project.
This was followed by a series of presentations by guest speakers. Julio Cesar Álvarez, from Bosch Rexroth, opened the debate on liquid hydrogen for mobility uses, and presented a real case in which they are already dispensing LH2 using their CryoPump system. Additionally, Jorge Segura, from CSP, and Oscar Sagredo, from FERRO, spoke about the new hydrogen-based propulsion systems for port cranes developed in the H2INTEGRA project. Other speakers at the meeting included Aitor Blanco, from Irizar, who provided a comprehensive overview of the vehicles being manufactured by the company as part of its efforts to decarbonise the sector, specifically the FCEV models, and José Mari Canales, from the University of Mondragon, who briefly explained the new focus of the Inter-University Master's Degree in Hydrogen Technologies (MITH).
