The Colombian Minister of Mining and Energy visits the Energy Intelligence Centre to learn about the projects of the BH2C.

Irene Vélez, the Colombian Minister of Mining and Energy, visited the Energy Intelligence Center to learn about the projects of the Basque Hydrogen Corridor (BH2C) and those being promoted by Petronor.

The minister met with Jose Ignacio Zudaire, President of the Basque Hydrogen Corridor (BH2C) and Deputy CEO at Petronor, and, amongst other issues, showed great interest in initiatives such as the 2.5 MW electrolyser at the Petronor refinery to supply green hydrogen to the Energy Intelligence Center, and the 10 MW electrolyser to supply the synfuel manufacturing plant to be built in the port of Bilbao.

The Minister was accompanied on the visit by Mr. Cristian Díaz, Deputy Minister of Energy, and by Ms. María Nohemí Arboleda, General Manager of XM, the company that administers the wholesale energy market in Colombia. The meeting, which was also attended by Mikel Amundarain, the Basque Deputy Minister for Industry, was part of the visit organised by the Basque Government in collaboration with the Government of Colombia.
