H2 Green Steel selects IDOM for a renewable H2-based integrated steel making plant.

H2 Green Steel has selected IDOM as EPCM consultant for its industrial-scale hydrogen-based steel making plant in Boden. The IDOM team will be part of one of the world's largest green H2-based DRI, SMP and RM plants, spearheading a major step towards decarbonisation and sustainability.

The integrated, digitised and automated steel plant will be in Boden, in the north of Sweden. The green steel produced at the plant will reduce CO2 emissions associated with the traditional steelmaking process by up to 95%, and supply high quality steel to the European market.

As EPCM consultant, IDOM will be responsible for the DRI (Direct Reduction Iron), the MHS (Material Handling System) and the BOP (Balance of Plant).
