H2MED Call for Interest: the call is open until 18 December 2024.
On 7 November, the promoters of the H2med project (REN, Enagas, GRTgaz, Terega and OGE) launched a call for interest to identify the needs for renewable hydrogen production and consumption along the future corridor that will link the Iberian Peninsula with the rest of Europe between now and 2030.
This non-binding call for interest is a crucial opportunity for Basque industry, as the outcome may influence the decision making process as to which sections of the corridor will be undertaken first and the final route.
The call will run through until 18 December 2024. In this respect, the participation of Basque players interested in producing, consuming and/or commercialising renewable hydrogen by 2030 is crucial, as the information gathered through this call for proposals could be decisive in the decision-making process and favour the construction of infrastructure in our region, which will be essential for strengthening the competitiveness of Basque industry and advancing towards decarbonisation.
More information is available on the H2Med project website, including a recorded webinar on the call for proposals and details of all the steps required to take part.
