H2SITE demonstrates its hydrogen production technology in the MACBETH project, together with Tecnalia and the Spanish National Hydrogen Centre.

H2SITE, Tecnalia and the Spanish National Hydrogen Centre (CNH2) have all been partners in the MACBETH project for the development of high-efficiency membranes and catalysts for industrial applications. Within the framework of this European initiative, H2SITE has successfully demonstrated its technology for converting natural gas and biogas into hydrogen at the CNH2 facilities, achieving high output purities. 470 hours of test operations were run, achieving a total production of 35 m3 in 147 hours of production, with a purity level of over 99%.

Furthermore, H2SITE has been selected as a Wildcard finalist in the 2025 BloombergNEF (BNEF) Pioneers competition, having positioned itself as a key player in the hydrogen sector. The BNEF Pioneers programme identifies and celebrates leading innovative solutions that could play an important role in the energy transition. This year's finalists address key challenges such as the decarbonisation of heavy industries and hydrogen separation.

Finally, mention should be made of the participation of Jorge Román, Product Director of H2SITE, in episode 85 of the Hydrogen Podcast, in which he explained the innovative membrane technology of the Basque company. He also shared H2SITE's experience in various research projects and its latest developments in the hydrogen sector, including securing more than 36 million euros in the successful Series B round of funding. Jorge Román also explained the start-up's growth prospects in the medium and long term.
