
The meeting of the Transport, Distribution & Storage Vertical of the BH2C addresses the different technologies for transporting H2 and new developments for its storage and extraction.
The fifth meeting of the Transport, Distribution & Storage Vertical of the BH2C was held on Tuesday, 18 March, at the EIC - Energy Intelligence Center. The meeting of the Vertical, led by Nortegas, brought together 38 people from 22 member organisations.
In the meeting, Izaskun Gorostiaga, from Nortegas, reported on the latest developments of the projects and initiatives being taken forward in the Vertical, as well as the most relevant regulatory aspects for the sector in recent months. Laura Barrio, from the University of the Basque Country, then provided an overview of the different strategies for the hydrogen transport and distribution market, and later presented the initial results of the UnLOHCked project, ‘Development of Storage Technologies with Low CO2 Emissions’. Other speakers at the meeting included Daniel Cuadrado, from Nortegas, who spoke about deblending activities with polymer membranes within the framework of the H2Integra project; Yasmina Portilla, from Tubacex, who explained to the audience the DESSERT project, focused on developing an advanced connection for the hydrogen production chain in underground formations; and José Mari Canales, from the University of Mondragon, who explained the new focus of the Inter-University Master's Degree in Hydrogen Technologies (MITH).
