The quantum software company MULTIVERSE has joined the Basque Hydrogen Corridor (BH2C) as participants in the GDH2 project "Digital twin for the application of quantum computing in hydrogen production plants".

This project, associated with the industrial research initiative, will investigate digital twin and quantum computing technologies for the optimisation of electrolysis applied to the production of green hydrogen. The end objectives of the project are:

  • The characterisation of a hydrogen plant and development of its digital twin.
  • Research and parameterisation of the electrolysis process for producing green hydrogen.
  • The application of quantum computing algorithms to optimise the process of hydrogen production and the energy consumption of this process.
  • Research on the integration of quantum algorithms in digital twins.

GDH2 is a project approved under the Agrupaciones de Empresa Innovadoras (Clusters of Innovative Companies) call 2022, in which AMETIC (as project leader), IDEA Ingeniería and Multiverse Computing are all consortium members. Within the BH2C, the GDH2 project is included in Vertical 1: Production.
