The Solaris Urbino 18 Hydrogen, awarded the Kielce Trade Fair Medal at Transexpo 2024.
The innovative zero-emission hydrogen-powered Urbino 18 has been awarded the prestigious Kielce Fair Medal in the ‘Buses’ category at this year's Transexpo International Fair of Public Transport.
The Solaris Urbino 18 hydrogen model combines advanced fuel cell technology with zero emission and quiet operation of the electric motor, providing a range of up to 600 km on a single refuelling (according to the eSORT II test). The modular architecture of the powertrain enables this articulated bus to carry up to 140 passengers.
This is not the first award for the hydrogen-powered vehicle of Solaris. The Urbino 18 Hydrogen recently won the title of ‘Bus of the Year 2025’, awarded by an international Bus of the Year jury. Solaris is currently a leader among European manufacturers of zero-emission vehicles. Of the almost 3,000 zero-emission buses delivered by Solaris, more than 320 are powered by hydrogen.
