Tecnalia leads CLEANHYPRO, a large-scale European electrolyser project.
The CLEANHYPRO project, coordinated by Tecnalia Research & Innovation, has been awarded by the European Commission within its Horizon Europe programme. This is the first Open Innovation Test Bed (OITB) project on electrolysers (and also in the field of hydrogen).
The Tecnalia-led consortium will set up a platform to provide multidisciplinary services to companies to promote innovative electrolysis technologies and materials to help speed up the process of bringing these innovations closer to the market, working closely with industry. The technology centres involved include Fraunhofer, TNO, VTT, EIT Innoenergy and Mondragon Assembly, amongst others.
Planned to run for 4 years, the project boasts a total budget of €13.77 million, with €11.72 million in funding support, and the participation of 28 partners including SMEs, large companies and technology centres.
