The University of Mondragon, a consortium partner in the European H2Excellence mobility programme to promote green hydrogen and fuel cells.
Mondragon University is collaborating in the H2Excellence European project to support the goals of the European Green Deal by creating an educational programme to address the skills gap in the sector of fuel cells and green hydrogen technology. The initiative is looking to develop pan-European knowledge centres to become a benchmark in training, research, knowledge transfer and awareness-raising about this technology.
As part of the European H2Excellence project, a mobility programme is being designed for students and teachers at different stages of education (vocational training, undergraduate, master's and PhD/research) for the 2025/2026 academic year. The aim of the project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme, is to develop sustainable skills for future employment in the green hydrogen sector. The H2Excellence consortium is made up of organisations from Finland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Poland and Greece. Internship opportunities range from manual and engineering jobs to management and R&D, including any relevant discipline within the organisation.
The mobility programme includes access to fully-funded internships of up to 12 months through Erasmus+ for vocational training and university students, researchers and teachers. Participating companies will be able to establish relationships with future workers in the sector, as well as highlight their work and commitment to green hydrogen through their presence on the European H2Excellence platform. Companies may modify or withdraw their participation in the programme at any time, as set out in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
