The BH2C and the Basque delegation organised by the Energy Cluster, present at the 2nd National Green Hydrogen Congress.
The National Green Hydrogen Congress (H2V) 2025, held in Huelva on 4, 5 and 6 February, brought together the main Spanish players in the hydrogen sector. Twelve BH2C organisations took part in the mission organised by the Energy Cluster. The day before the Congress, BH2C members took part in visits organised by the Cluster to the MOEVE La Rábida Energy Park and the Port of Huelva.
The green hydrogen sector is consolidating its position in Spain, with all the key elements in place to position itself as a leader in the energy transition. Many of the sector's main players in Spain have expressed this belief over the course of the Congress, which was attended by more than 1,200 people and representatives from 400 companies. As well as plenary sessions, round tables and technical workshops, there was also space reserved for B2B meetings.
On this occasion, 12 BH2C members travelled to the event in Andalusia, namely ALBA, AMPO, CLUSTER DE ENERGÍA, ENAGÁS RENOVABLE, EVE, FP SOMORROSTRO, H2SITE, HYFIVE, PETRONOR, SENER and TEKNIKER.
The day before the fair started, the Energy Cluster organised two very interesting visits for the BH2C organisations. The first was to the MOEVE La Rábida Energy Park. After a welcome from Joaquín Rodríguez, Director of the MOEVE Hydrogen Area, and Jorge Acitores, Director of La Rábida Energy Park, the visitors were shown around the Energy Park itself, visiting the central control room and the different plants and units where hydrogen is co-processed and consumed (Hidrocracker and H4). Afterwards, the delegation visited the Port of Huelva, where Jaime Beltran Sanz, CBDO/CCO of the Port, explained the approach to energy transformation adopted by the Port of Huelva and led them on a tour around the 17-kilometre port area to show them the activities that take place there.
